Hey! Here are some recent things I’ve been reading, watching, and listening to lately. Maybe you’ll find them as interesting as I do.

1) When TikTok Therapy Is More Lucrative Than Seeing Clients
This whole phenomenon makes me feel icky.
The most successful TikTok counselors don’t typically advertise their one-on-one therapy services; instead, they’ll sell products that establish themselves as mental-health experts but have the potential to net influencer-size salaries.
2) The Spectacular Failure of the Star Wars Hotel
This is a four hour YouTube video about why the fancy, expensive Star Wars hotel at Disney World epically failed. I have only watched about 12 minutes of the video so far, so if there is awful language or something later in the video I apologize. But man this video is awesome.
I can’t believe I had never heard of this YouTuber before, but I can definitely say I’ll check out some more of her videos after I finish this one (in a few weeks or whenever).
3) Brother, Captain, King
I listened to this Tim Keller sermon from 2005 while I was at the gym on Monday of this week. Highly recommend.
The book of Hebrews helps us understand the challenges early Christians faced, including fear and discouragement. They wondered why they suffered despite God’s love. The answer is found in seeing Jesus as a King, Leader, and Brother who brings comfort and hope through his connection, sacrifice, and joy in us. Seeing Jesus this way can help us overcome our own fears and discouragement.
